Terms & Conditions

1. Age Requirements

Tattoos

  • Minimum age for tattoos is 18 years old.

  • No tattoos will be performed on anyone under the age of 18, with or without parental consent.

Piercings

  • 18 years and over: Valid government-issued photo ID required.

  • 16–17 years: Piercings may be performed only with written parental or legal guardian consent, and the parent/guardian must be present with valid photo ID.

  • Under 16 years: Piercings may be limited or refused depending on the body area.

  • Accepted ID: Passport, driver’s license, or official government ID.

2. Parental / Guardian Consent

For minors where permitted by law:

  • A parent or legal guardian must:

    • Be present during the procedure

    • Provide valid photo identification

    • Provide proof of guardianship if requested

    • Sign a parental consent form at the studio

False or misleading information will result in the refusal of service without a refund.

3. Health Disclosure & Client Responsibility

By receiving services, you confirm that:

  • You are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • You have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, including but not limited to:

    • Pregnancy

    • Blood disorders

    • Diabetes

    • Epilepsy

    • Heart conditions

    • Skin conditions

    • Allergies (including metals, latex, inks)

    • Immune disorders

  • You are not taking medications that may interfere with healing (e.g., blood thinners), or you have informed your artist

Failure to disclose relevant health information releases Venom Shed from liability.

4. Procedure Acknowledgement

You understand and accept that:

  • Tattooing and piercing involve risks, including pain, swelling, bleeding, scarring, allergic reactions, infection, or dissatisfaction with results

  • Results may vary due to skin type, placement, aftercare, and individual healing

  • Touch-ups, removals, or corrections are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated

5. Aftercare Responsibility

  • You will receive verbal or written aftercare instructions

  • Proper aftercare is your responsibility

  • Venom shed is not responsible for complications resulting from failure to follow aftercare instructions, trauma to the area, or exposure to unsanitary conditions

6. Liability Waiver & Release

By signing or agreeing to these Terms:

  • You release Venom Shed, its owners, employees, contractors, and artists from any and all liability, claims, damages, or legal actions arising from your tattoo or piercing

  • This includes but is not limited to:

    • Infection

    • Allergic reactions

    • Scarring

    • Emotional distress

    • Medical expenses

You acknowledge that you are voluntarily assuming all risks.

7. No Guarantees or Refunds

  • All services are final

  • No refunds for:

    • Change of mind

    • Pain tolerance

    • Healing outcomes

    • Artistic preference after completion

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

8. Right to Refuse Service

Venom Shed reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Intoxication

  • Aggressive or inappropriate behaviour

  • Medical concerns

  • Unrealistic expectations

  • Inability to providea  valid ID or consent

9. Photography & Promotion

Unless otherwise stated:

  • The studio may photograph or record completed work for portfolio, website, or social media use

  • You may opt out by notifying the staff before your appointment

  • Venom Shed reserves the right to keep a copy of the photographic ID

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Armagh Council, Northern Ireland

11. Acknowledgement

By signing below or proceeding with services, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions

  • You agree to be bound by them

  • All information provided is accurate and truthful
